OSSSC Laboratory Technician Recruitment Eligibility
1. passed +2 Science Examination under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha/equivalent and
2. Passed diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Government Medical College and hospitals of the State/any other private institutions recognised by the Government of Odisha or All India Council of Technical Education.
3. If any candidate has obtained higher qualifications like a Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) or Master in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) they shall be eligible to apply provided they have obtained the basic qualifications as above.
4. A candidate must have registered his/her name in the Laboratory Technician Council in the State and possess a valid registration certificate as on the date of the advertisement which shall be uploaded online.
5. A candidate must be able to speak, read, and write Odia and must have
a. passed the Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject; or
b. passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects; or
c. passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class-VII or above from a School or Educational Institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or Central Government; or
d. passed a test in Odia in M.E. School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.
Age Limit for OSSSC Laboratory Technician Recruitment 2023
- Minimum Age of the Candidate: 21 Years
- Maximum Age of the Candidate: 38 Years
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women category.
- The upper age limit is also relaxable by 10 years in case of Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- The upper age limit is relaxable by the total period of service rendered in defence service in case of Ex-Servicemen. The persons in Defence Service having more than six months to retire or to be discharged from service as on the last date of the submission of online application are not eligible to apply for the post. Provided that those Ex-Servicemen who have already secured regular employment under the State Government in civil post and services would be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as admissible for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in any higher post or services under the State Government but such candidates shall not be eligible for the benefit of reservation, if any, for Ex-Servicemen in the State Government.
